I am from Paris, where I studied fashion and Art at “Modar’t international”, I got my master in fashion & Art in 2010.
In 2009 I started my creative journey on a big film production, “Coco avant Chanel” Directed by Anne Fontaine to create costumes for Marie Gillain and Audrey Tautou. I worked along side the head Costume Designer Catherine Leterrier, who received the Oscar for best costume design that year.
After school I entered Charleston Agency as a fashion show dresser for Jean Paul Gaultier, Chanel, Leonard, Zuhair Murad, Elie Saab, Maison Martin Margiela during 7 years… until I became Cara Delevingne’s personal dresser on Chanel’s fashion shows.
In 2012 I got signed by DI Agency to perform acting and modelling.
The same year, I’ve been introduced to the stylist designer Guya Marini to assist her on campaigns for “Globus Cashmere”, “S.Oliver”, “L'Officiel Magazine” and to work with Photographer Nick Norman at Shangri-La hotel Paris.
A really interesting encounter happened In 2013, when New Yorker stylist Gerlan Marcel ( who created textiles for Jeremy Scott and Sex and the City’ stylist Patricia Fields) asked me to represent, wear and sell her own brand “ Gerlan Jeans” at the Showroom “Rendez-Vous”, during her visit in Paris.
My adventure in the cinema pursued on a short movie called “Hello World” for the prestigious school “La Fémis”, being commissioned to create futuristic jewellery. Inspired the new designs, I decided to push further and use them to start my own perspex jewellery brand, “Couleur Punk à L’eau”.
In parallel, I worked has a live model for Art schools, and private Artist like the sculptor Philippe Séené and the Contemporary figurative artist Shane Wolf. Both helped me to have a better understanding of 3D volumes and colours combinations.
Gaining confidence, I decided with my partner to step out of my comfort zone, and move to North London in 2015 in a creative and artistic community, sharing a work-living space for 2 years with 12 different artists: musicians, singers, producers, yoga teacher, actors, Jewellery makers, painters and circus artists… I developed my own drawing style, inspired by all the peculiar characters I met at the Warehouse.
In 2017 we got pregnant and left the community to move not far, in the south England coast, Brighton, where we are raising our boy now!
From my studies in anatomy and fashion drawings to the experiences I shared in many different environments with a lot of very different creative people …I finally realise that I was among everything a visual artist!
Sincerely Yours,
Sarah.
